Prehab & Rehab Training

Prehab training works to strengthen and bulletproof your body, mitigating the damage of any potential injuries that may occur in your lifespan.

 

Rehab training on the other hand, focuses on alleviating pain symptoms, strengthening and building your capacity on your path to recovery.

 

Rather than building you back to where were pre-injury, we look to surpass that standard to minimise the risk of re-injury.

Recovery

Recharging both the mind and the body are integral parts of leading a healthy lifestyle and why we have introduced RESET at Calibrate. 

 

What is it?

 

A time for you to switch off and allow yourself to RESET.

In a group of no more than 10 people, our coach will take you through an introduction of the recovery process. This will include: 

​

  • Trigger point therapy

  • Mobility and stretch exercises 

  • Breathwork to calm the mind

  • Cold plunge intervals 

 

How does the cold plunge work? 

 

Cold therapy helps to reduce inflammation and improve recovery by changing the way blood and other fluids flow through your body. When you sit in cold water, your blood vessels constrict; when you get out, they dilate (or open back up). This process helps flush away metabolic waste post-workout.

What are the other benefits? 

​

  • Increased blood flow floods your cells with nutrients and oxygen to help your body recover.

  • From a mental standpoint, you’re challenging your body by being exposed to different stresses and stimuli, which makes you more resilient. 

  • It also has a positive effect on the central nervous system, which helps you sleep and feel better.

Health Retreats

Think healthy living on holiday.

When people go on retreats, the expectation is to live under a regimented structure with a strict nutrition plan. What we seek to provide however, is a holiday location and the opportunity to share ideas and experiences in wellness, while enjoying quality time away from the stresses of the city - an interactive workshop in a tropical sanctuary. Think daily exercise paired with quality nutrition, and a chance for the body and mind to restore...​

Unfortunately whilst COVID has impacted global travel, we have had to put these on a temporary hold... however, do stay tuned for our 2024 Calibrate Health Retreat!
