How To Stay Healthy During Flu Season

Following up on our last post on the Novel Coronavirus, we thought we would hone in on the importance of staying active whilst caring for your health amidst all that is going on around us.

Please keep in mind the following when trying to care for your health:

  • Regular exercise is key for a healthy immune system, so do try to get moving wherever you are.

  • Fuel your body with quality nutrients (maybe even up the vitamin C & B12 to help boost immunity).

  • Stay hydrated & get enough sleep!

  • And of course, the obvious - hygiene is super important so do wash your hands thoroughly & frequently, and try to keep hand sanitizer on you at all times.

Everything we would typically preach regarding a healthy lifestyle stands.

Those who are getting hit the worst are those with compromised immune systems (ie. the elderly/young or those who have pre-existing health conditions).

Stress is a huge factor that should still be considered - so if you are feeling stressed from work, maybe take a breather and remember that work isn’t everything and it should not consume you.

Our top tips when feeling stressed?

  1. Take a time out & have some alone time. Sit and take a breather, and do absolutely NOTHING. Maybe even put on a great chilled playlist for you to sit and just... be. If you need any playlist recommendations, we will happily send a few your way 🤓

  2. Go scope out nearby yoga, movement or meditation classes.

  3. Go out for a walk in nature.

  4. Grab a book and take time out of your day to read!

  5. Pamper yourself with a massage.

As always, these are merely our opinions.

There is no right or wrong to what you choose to do, but just remember to prioritise your health. Your health should always come first. Nothing else matters if you aren’t healthy enough to appreciate it!!! #healthiswealth
