Listening To Your Aches & Pains

Do you have pain in your back?

It is important to remember that pain is not your enemy, but a mode of communication between your body and your brain that can give you important information to adapt your training and calibrate your body back to optimum performance.

All the tissue, muscles and joints we have are interconnected via fascia, a band of connective tissue that lies beneath the skin and attaches, stabilizes and encloses all of your muscles and other internal organs. As fascia is so interconnected throughout your body, a localized injury in one place can cause fascia to tighten and promote tension in a distant part of the body.

Identifying any problem areas in the body and adapting your training to correct any imbalances is the key to returning your body back to ideal performance.

This is why at Calibrate we make it our priority to work with each individual to identify any injuries present in the body, and adapt their training so that they can regain mobility, strength and balance to the body and consequently, relieve pain. If you haven't already, please don’t hesitate to let us know about any niggling injuries you may have!
